NEWS FLASH -- NeXT PRODUCED DEMO CD-ROM CLARIFICATION

On August 22, 1994, NeXT issued an announcement calling for
submissions of demo applications for a NeXT produced demo CD-ROM.
This announcement came in response to numerous requests from the ISV
community.  ISVs believe that a demo CD produced by NeXT creates a
much stronger impression on customers than a CD produced by an
independent third party.

We believe some confusion may have resulted from the statement at the
end of the first paragraph "This demo CD replaces the one Alembic
Systems International was to produce."   This sentence should read
"This demo CD replaces the one Alembic Systems International was to
produce jointly with NeXT."

The NEXTSTEP Third Party Products CD was to have been produced
jointly by NeXT and Alembic and was in addition to Alembic's own CD.
The NEXTSTEP Third Party Products CD will now be produced solely by
NeXT.  The Alembic Demo CD containing demo applications from ISVs
with whom Alembic has distributor agreements continues to be
available from Alembic.

NeXT Developer Relations' decision to produce the NEXTSTEP Third
Party Products CD does not affect the current distributor
relationship between Alembic and NeXT.
